A bad day @ my place :(

Well I woke up this morning & headed to the lake. I had pretty high hopes for today because the wind was going to be turning out of the SE & the salinity level is the highest I have seen it in a few months. I wasn't going to be able to stay all day though. I needed to get off the water around noon so I could go pick up our dog from the vet. I dropped her off to get fixed yesterday. Well I got on the water & I made 3 casts. Before I could make the 4th my phone rang. It was my wife. She was crying her eyes out. She told me that she had just talked to the vet & our dog died @ 6AM this morning from complications with the anesthesia. I'm @ a loss for words right now. She was a big part of our family & she will be missed.

Yeah, I got her for my sons 2nd birthday. He just turned 3 on the 15th. She was a really good dog. He is gonna be really upset when he finds out.

jsmoke222000, sorry for your loss. Animal can become a big part of the family. I have a few....But that is part of the life. Never easy. Again sorry for your loss.

Sorry about the pup, she was a cute one.
Hope your wife and son don't take it too hard.
We lost a young cat a while back and my wife said no more.
Maybe you can find another pup soon.
I wondered why I didn't see you on the lake.

Yeah it's a tough one over here. The dog was actually a little over a year old. That was a picture of her the day we brought her home over a year ago.

RIP. What you name that dog? Gretchen or something like that, I was just petting her scaredy cat ass last week. That's too bad, get a goat next. Hey man, what's up with the fish tank, have you gotten any speck to survive yet? You've had some bad luck with animals.

Name was Gretta. I still have the 2 mullet & 1 shrimp in the fish tank. I have tried 2 specks, 1 sand trout & 1 red. None of them made it. I'm just going to have to get a very small one in my cast net & try that.
