NIght fishing at LNG

We fished LNG last night.. The specs were hitting the schools of bait fish all night.. We manage to catch 2 nice size specs just throwing into the school of bait fish.. We tried everything from live shrimp under a popping cork , frozen shrimp, glow with chatreuse, sand eel, cocahoe minnow, even top water.. We just couldnt get them to hit and anything.. Does anyone have any suggestions on bait to use when they are hitting schools like that or what to do the next time we go? or has anyone been through the same thing...

I have been thinking about going night fishing there, do they start hitting right after dark or real late. Is it something that you think a 9 year old would enjoy. thanks

I would suggest a chartreuse cocahoe minnow with ¼ oz. lead head. Fish it variable speeds until you find the right speed they are hammering it on. I have fished there for nearly 12 years with great success this time of year and always use this bait and color.
Also you can find fish at Haymark Terminal. There is really no set time the fish are there you just have to be there when they move in.

Me and Gerald got into a bunch of Founder hitting glass minnows for an hour, and they wouldn't hit anything we threw.
They were spooking 1000s of glass minnows out of the water. But didn't hit any of our lures. Not even life pogy.
