i'm new to the forum, have some jpegs i want to upload but can'd figure out how. Help?

How to post a picture

This forum does not allow attachments. If you want to add a picture in your post, the picture needs to be uploaded to the internet. If the picture you would like to post is already on the internet somewhere, you are already halfway there (proceed to step 2). If the picture is on your camera or your computer, you need to upload the image to a image hosting site like tinypic or imageshack (proceed to step 1).

Step 1:

If you have a account with a file or image hosting service, please upload your picture(s) now (proceed to step 2).

If you don't have an image hosting account you can use tinypic, it's free. We have installed modifications to this site so that tinypic can be used to upload pictures very easily. The instructions for each are as follows:

If you look down in the bottom left hand corner of the posting page you will see a tab that is labeled "Upload to tinyPic". Click on that tab.



This should appear when you click that tab:



Click on the browse button & a window will open. Find the picture you want to post & click open. The default file type is set for an image already. Click the upload button.



When your picture is finished uploading the box should look similar to this. Click the "Add to Post" button & the code for your picture will be added to your post. This is all you need to do if you are using the TinyPic add on (disreguard steps 2 & 3). If you want to add another picture, simply click the word "upload" in the TinyPic box & repeat these steps. Now just click the submit button when you are finished typing your message & your picture should be included in your message!


Step 2:

You need to know the URL of your picture. Highlight the direct link URL & copy it to your clipboard (right click & copy). Proceed to step 3.

Step 3:

Click on the "Img" button in the posting toolbar. A box should pop up. If it doesn't & you are using Internet Explorer, please read thread for more information. It will say "Script Prompt", "Insert image URL". Right click on the blue section that says http:// and paste your image URL in the box. Now click ok. The box should disappear & your image URL should now be wrapped in bbcode. Continue typing your message or if you are finished typing, click the "Submit" button. Your picture should now be in your post.

thanks, all that seems like too much trouble. I tried it, and the tinypic window wouldn't expand no matter what i tried.
