Local ads?

Postby Big Lake Capt » Tue Nov 17, 2009 4:20 pm

It has been a while since I been here but what is all this advertisement for? Nobody on big lake fishes with half the stuff on here? We have 5 local stores that we depend on to provide us with tackle and lures and you want to place free ads for the big boys? We like to keep our money and fishing in house not spread the wealth to someone who has 1.5million dollar camp in Colorado! You want to sell someone on here go to LCT or Gulf Coast Tackle have them sponsor this site! They need the money not FishUSA.com and Bass Pro :spank: :spank:

I completely agree with you Capt. 100% Infact I have already sent email to those guys about advertising & got no response @ all! I sent an email to Nick over @ Gulfcoast Tackle, David @ Lake Charles Tackle, Ship to shore, Cormies Grocery, Calcasieu Point, Jerrys Marine, Lake Area Marine & several of the guide services. So far the only ones who have even responded to my emails are Tom Adams with Fishing Toms Guide Service & Ms. Elaine from Calcasieu Point. I am definitely interested in promoting local businesses but I can't just put their ads up without permission. That is what got you all wound up in the first place. If you have a relationship with any of those folks or know anyone locally that might be willing to advertise on the site, I'd love to hear from them. I've got to have ad content to keep this site up & running without killing my check book. I am actively seeking advertisers & sponsors for the site & would love to have as many local businesses as possible. Please help me spread the word.

free ads for the big boys

FYI, those ads pay commission on sales.

Advertisment on the Internet is Global, some people visiting this site may not have access to the local businesses you are referring to. Any one visiting this site may use the links to reference fishing supplies, compare pricing, customer reviews, etc. They are an asset and a contributor, I see no problem with posting "Big Boy" website ads.
