Safe boating classes offered
Posted: Sun May 08, 2011 8:56 pmThe Lake Charles Sail and Power Squadron will hold a one day Safe Boating Class on Saturday, May 28, from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the clubhouse located just past the I-210 boat launch past Lafleur Park. A light lunch will be provided or you may bring a sack lunch. There is a $10 charge for each person age 10 and up to cover refreshments and materials. Anyone under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information on the Power Squadron Safe boating classes call Ship to Shore at 474-0730.
If you were born after Jan. 1, 1984, then you must carry a certification from the National Association of State Boat Law Administration, when you are operating a boat with more than a 10 HP motor, there is a day long class, to be held in Lake Charles.
