Top water just Fins Wind tamer braid 20lb test with 20lb Berkley Vision Fluorocarbon leader
Reds use 12lb Berkley Big Game with 20lb Vision Leader
This is all you need
I catch over 4000 trout a year on 10lb test and never broke off one time on a trout
10lb Test will allow you to get the maximum casting distance from your reel....
Use 10bl Berkley Big Game with 20lb Berkly vision fluorocarbon leader
Top water just Fins Wind tamer braid 20lb test with 20lb Berkley Vision Fluorocarbon leader

It is great, as long as it is in good shape. If it nicks or color changes,
cut some off or change it out.

Posted: Thu Jun 16, 2011 5:09 amI am not a fan of the new XS braid. It would probably be awesome on a offshore setup, but I don't care for it on my inshore reels. I prefer the 40 lb shock absorbing. It is the same size as 12 lb mono. I have heard some good things about the windtamer line also, but I have never personally used it.

Posted: Thu Jun 16, 2011 9:46 amI haven't tried FINS , but I am very pleased with Sufix Performance Braid. I use 10lb on everything except the rod I use to target really big reds. On this rod I still have 30lb. Power Pro But only because it doesn't get used very often and is still in really good shape. 12lb fluoro leaders on everything except the big red rod that gets 20 our 30 lb fluoro depending on situation.

Posted: Fri Jun 17, 2011 2:51 pmI hate that you had a bad experience with the FINS XS braid. All I can tell you is that if you get a wild hair & want to give it another try, GET THE SHOCK ABSORBING.
