New Vudu Hooks on the way

Postby egretbaits » Wed Jun 05, 2013 7:05 pm

A few months ago, we promised to address the hooks on the Vudu. Below is pic of the new hook (top shrimp). We are moving to a 4x strong hook which will solve all the issues and it will also cast a little better. Please be patient, we have over 100 thousand Vudu Shrimp in flow (thanks to all you guys) and the new hooks will be 30 to 45 days before they hit the shelf. We will offer a 2 pack of replacement hooks very cheap and ship free if you are a customer.

I take building baits very serious and constructive comments are always welcome at ken@egretbaits.com So if you ever have an issue, I ask that you contact me directly.

I caught a Black Tip Shark today and had no issues with the hook. Only time I had any trouble with them is she I had to use pliers to unhook big Reds.
If you don't tighten the drag too much, you wont have any issues with the hooks.

If the rig is set up right you should never have a bent hook are a broken hook. Set the drag don't just crank it down till it will not turn no more even when using braid.
