I am about to be in the market for a new reel. I have always used low profile, but am curious about a round one. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to either one???

Round is more bulky and heavy. But usually holds more line.
Some people won't change to low profile. I like them cause
they take up less room in storage or on rod racks.

I rather use the low profiles myself; they just seem easier to handle and like Ray said "take up less space".
