Most prop sites and motor sites have a good prop guide.
In my opinion, Mercury has a very good prop info site.

There are several good prop companies. Most boat/motor combo's use a good prop that gives about the best numbers out of a boat/motor combo.
However, if you go cheap when buying a boat, you sometimes don't get the good props. You get what ever is cheaper.
Good brands of boats test different props on different motors on different boats to give you best take off and top end.
If you are looking for take off or top end, then you can get a different prop depending on which you want most.
Example: For tunnel hull boats in the marsh, take off is what you want, so you can take off in shallow water faster. Ect...
For offshore boats, you don't need a fast take off, you are looking for fuel effenciency so you can go farther, which can get you a better top end.

However you do it, you don't want to over rev. or under rev. your engine. Find the top rpm and get a prop that will get you there. To much more
or less and you can damage your engine.

Spent alot of time reading and called the Evinrude support and they recommend the renegade in the 21-23 pitch range.
