I have a 19' Bluewave Deluxe CC and downsized from a 21' VIP CC. The VIP was very deep/heavy and too big for some of the places I fish. I really liked the Nautic Star, lots of storage and it was a toss up between it and the Bluewave but went with the Bluewave and I am happy with it. Whatever you get, make sure it is well powered. Many boats out there are under powered and you will hate that in the end.

Every boat I have bought has had the highest HP allowed by the manufacturer. I have had friends that regretted going lower HP to save cost on buying the boat.
Spending the extra money is worth it.

+1 on the max HP. Get the biggest motor possible for the boat you buy, you won't be happy with the performance if you don't.

after a couple fishing trips and seeing how we fish I'm thinking something like a 21-24ft nautic would be best. Honestly the bassboat has fished pretty good with 4 people fishing. The problem has been riding to and from areas. The boat only has 2 seats so one person sits on the front deck and the other on the floor. My buddy and I both really like the ability of the Nauticstars to use the little jump seats and also the ability to throw on a canvas top for those days we just cruise around. The bassboat is a gas guzzler though. It has 175 evinrude on it and she loves to drink.

Bass boats have carpet. That sucks when you throw a fish in the boat that you caught with a topwater or crank bait that has triple hooks on it.
