If it is the older Mercury's, just about anyone can work on those.
If it is the Optimax, go to a Mercury Service Center, or Gene's Marine in Lake Charles.

as a new to me bay boat owner a couple of years ago i had my ups and downs getting to know it.i have been to just about every shop around here except for jerrys[word of mouth]and by far genes marine was great and still is.i dont want to name names of not where to take it but there is one certain shop on common that i would not take it to.trust me i learned the hard way..

I know the one you or talking about and I would send someone to Jerry's before I would send them there. Can't remember the name I guess that is a good thing. I will say this I have a yammie and I trust the yamaha shop in LC Glenn is a good guy I also trust Jorgensen Marine in Beaumont real good people there also.
