boat slips?

Does anyone know of a place that I could rent a monthly boat slip in the Hackberry area or anywhere on Big Lake for that matter and the cost. I wouldn't mind keeping my boat in a mini-storage close by as long as there was access to water and power. Any ideas.

There are empty stalls at the Hwy 27 bridge and Choupique Bayou. There are also empty dry stalls at Ellender's. You can call Heberts or Spicers too but I'm sure they have a long waiting list. Ray mentioned something about someone applying for a permit to build a new place with a bunch of slips but I have no clue if it ever happened or not. I'm sure he will chime in when he gets on later this evening.

I can't picture the ones over by Hwy. 27 bridge, but I'm sure I've seen them before. Do the slips include a hoist? How would you feel about leaving you boat in that area? Are they somewhat in a secure location? Would theft be an issue? Thanks for the input.

I truly don't know. I leave my boat @ home. I'm sure Ray will have some input though.

The new marina project in Hackberry is kinda top secret or something.
I talked to Bustany's rep. in Lake Charles and he can't find out anything either.
I know the permits have been applied for.

I am with you on a secure boat storage in or around The Hack.
What would be even better is if the boat storage had an attached efficiency apt. Some place to shower and sleep. Not long term but shelter for a day or two.
I understood that Hebert's had something like this pre-RITA but have not resurrected it as of yet.
Fingers crossed.
