The power pole vs the talon. This debate really comes down to personal preference. I had a power pole (8' pro model) on my 22' bay boat & loved it. I looked at the talon & even though it was a little cheaper, I ended up getting the power pole. I didn't like the fact that the talon doesn't lay down when deployed. I fish 3 or 4 guys out of my boat pretty often & there is usually someone fishing on the back deck. I figured a talon would get in the way when they were casting back there. The talon is powered by an electric motor, the power pole is hydraulic. I'm a sucker for hydraulics. When you run your boat in some skinny water & get junk hung up in the prop or the water intake on your motor, you can deploy your power pole & step out onto it in order to clear the debris. I tend to do this pretty often. LOL
Like i said, it's really a personal preference. Both are great products & they serve the same purpose. I'm sticking with power pole but you really can't go wrong either way.
