It's nice. But can't you buy something like that?

The tournament that we are fishing this year uses this measuring system to bump fish. The board is tilted @ a specific angle so that the fishes own weight holds it down on the board & nobody actually touches the fish. Here is a link to the specifics:

Ah, so it ain't like the brass ruler type.
Just thought that was a lot of trouble to make one of those when you can buy the brass one.

It looks to me like that thing could really scratch up the finish on your boat.

I needs to have a rubber bottom or something to protect the sharp edges.

Well you know what they say, if @ first you don't succeed, try again. My first measuring device pretty much fell apart before the tournament even started. When I put it together it was cold outside. When the thing warmed up in the sun, it cracked & basically fell apart. LOL So I have constructed another measuring chute out of 3/4" plexiglass. This one is built like a brick shithouse!

Got to build them so that when you step on them......they won't break.
