This "boat" has a very limited application, and I can't see much use around Big Lake. You can't go far, b/c it's a bear to paddle, and slow. you can't go where there is much boat traffic either. Seems like its only advantage is the ability to stand. It might be great if you had access to the marsh behind the weirs on the SE corner of the lake. If I were going to spend $1,000 on a kayak to fish Big Lake, I'd go with a Native Manta Ray 14' or WS Tarpon 14'. Fast boats that can take waves well and stay dry. Both are good boats to paddle the distances you need to kayak fish on Calcasieu. If standing is important to you, look at the WS Commander or the Native Ultimate. However, kayaks wide enough to stand in are generally slower, and most are more canoe than kayak.
