I'm sure that you guys have noticed the new Jackall banner on the site. The fine folks over @ Jackall Lures make some top notch products & their crank baits are second to none. Like most other lure companies, Jackall makes a variety of freshwater bass lures. The thing that really sets Jackall apart from the rest is the quality of the lures. It's no big secret that I love to throw crank baits for redfish. I recently received a few from Jackall & I wanted to show you guys what I have done to convert them over to saltwater redfish slaying awesomeness.
The three crank baits I received are:
I should mention that there is absolutely nothing wrong with these baits as is & they will catch redfish without making any modifications to them @ all. Having said that, I always change out the hooks & split rings to saltwater components. Let's face it, redfish pull a whole lot harder than bass. I bought a 100 pack of #2 split rings made by Offshore Angler @ Lake Charles Tackle for $5. For the hooks I used VMC 4x strong short shank O Shaugnessy Treble hooks. Size 2 on the muscle deep divers & size 4 on the cherry & bling.
Here is a pic of the baits side by side with the different components:

I'll be heading out on the water tomorrow to shoot some video of the redfish slaying action. I'll post some video when I get home.
